Thank you! She kept her color really well ![]()
But oh man she was glowing as a hatchling.
Ah I see. Real talk, odds are even against that. Darn it. Well…I will probably have to reframe a few things in my mind then! That is perfectly fine. I greatly enjoy caring for these animals and handling them etc. It is a pleasure. Of course I don’t want so many snakes that I can not care for them, that would be awful, and of course in the meantime I will still be taking in snakes that need rehabilitation and special care. I will ponder this…
Thank you for your well considered advice and the photos!!!
No worries
Also, please do not feel that I am trying to be total “doom and gloom”. Herpetoculture is a great hobby/interest. I just see far too many people come flying in with huge dreams and aspirations to end up crashing and burning. It is far better to be Daedalus than Icarus
Oh yes, I’d certainly rather be somewhere between Daedalus and the Pythia laughs but I certainly appreciate the reference
Is it terrible that I love these snakes the most for their neckrub skills? Just kidding, but that is a great bonus! I handle everyone about twice a week, but I do a rotation of who gets to live in my studio and when I am done creating for the day, that particular studio snake gets special attention. Next week, different snake.
Oh, a fellow Oklahomie!
I’d love to see pics of your snakes, both the planned breeders and rescues ![]()
I do not have a lot of photos on hand, but I will take some!
