She refuses frozen oddly even though my others happily take it, so I’ll have to continue live for now at least.
This will work. I found tue smaller pieces to work much better. And you get more for the cost.
Not at all. I am just going by what i have seen work. There are many ways out there. We are all good
Ok I am sorry I didn’t realize that.
That is what I so love about you Duane! You are the best!
It goes both ways. Keep up the great work and support.
Agreed about the smaller pieces/of anything actually! One thing about the cypress mulch and that is it comes moist in the bag so sometimes you have to dry it a bit before it can be used. Otherwise it will make the tub way too moist/humid from the get go……
Will try!
Refusing frozen sounds so much like my girl. She eats ft just fine now, but until we got her settled in her tub she was always live only.
She should hopefully be easier to switch when she’s more comfortable
How do you like it, I looked into those. AP(VE-175) Jumbo Rack. It fits around 4x2x1 tubs which is very close to regulation size and it’s only $600 for three levels and $70 a tub. How functional is the heat system and does it display heat and humidity? How about a thermostat? I feel like it’s a little more beginner friendly than the ARS racks even though the ARS racks are $350 a level and two tubs per level. If the Animal Plastics one displays temp and humidity accurately I might have to go with that one as the ARS rack comes with the added cost of a $150+ thermostat and like $30 a level for heat strips as well as the base level being almost $500. I’m not entirely sure which one really gives you more bang for your buck.
I don’t believe that AP racks come with thermostats, so you’d likely have to buy that separately. You’d most likely also have to provide your own thermometer and hygrometer.
I don’t use racks (not because I have anything against them, but I only have 3 snakes and they all need different enclosure sizes), but I do have a PVC enclosure from AP, and I really like it. Very well-made and well-designed.
