This is the first time I’ve heard of this. What does putting him under a black light do?

It can revealed the patterning that lucy snakes have

Interesting, I’ll have to try that with the BELs I hatched this year

Out of curiosity, would this work with a leucistic rat snake?

I don’t know because I don’t have one. But usually why people Lucy ball pythons underneath the light is to reveal the hidden pattern of other co-dominant genes. And that it is really cool.

So if you have a Lucy Texas rat snake, stick it underneath some black light and take a picture for all of us.

I have a rescue one ill have to try it with, they have a random red scale that i thought was a mite when i first got them, so somethings going on, would be cool!

From what I’ve seen with other listings, if he had pinstripe as well, the pattern would look like a kingpin under the blacklight.

However, he seems to be patterless. Just mojave/lesser. Poss pastel

Did you ever end up trying it?

I did, nothing. My albinos were really cool under blacklight though
