Sorry, I made mistake on the pairing. The male is Enchi Chocolate dbl het Hypo / Clown, not Blackhead.

A couple firsts this morning. First clutch of the season and first clutch for this girl. 8 nice size eggs all with good veins, so well done for her. Hoping for some Mojave Hypo Chocolatey Clown goodness. Should know in about 65 days or so because I incubate at lower temperatures.

Second clutch is in the incubator. Pairing was 0.1 Pastel Het DG, 66% Het Pied X 1.0 DG 100% Het Pied. 6 nice eggs with good veins. Here’s hoping she proves out for me.

So it’s day 60 for the Mojave Clown het Hypo X Enchi Chocolate dbl het Hypo/Clown pairing. We have our first pipper and it definitely is Clown. It also looks like it may be Chocolate Clown based on the headstamp. I know the angle doesn’t look like it, but it does have two eyes. More to come and thanks for looking.

So the first one crawled out of the egg and I was wrong. It is Enchi Clown. But this is why I don’t cut. Even though this one is out, none of the other 7 eggs have pipped yet. Not so much as a slit in the shell. Baby #1 with more to come.

So the second one pipped about a half hour after I posted the picture of the first, and it already left the egg in less than 8 hours. It has a little bit of its umbilicus still attached but looks nice and healthy. Pretty sure it’s Hypo Enchi het Clown.

Perhaps you’ll like this photo then. There is a fourth clown that pulled its head back in when I took this, but they are all very similar looking. Can’t wait for them to get out so I can get a better idea of what is there.
