5 codom clutch id assistance

Hi. This is our 2nd clutch ever and our first to make het clowns. The pairing is Pastel Fire YB OD × Spotnose Clown. We’ve researched as much as possible on MM and have watched videos, etc but YB and OD especially are difficult for us. Can you help? I’ve included both full body and side pic. Any input would be appreciated. Additionally, if you could let me know the best way to identify OD, YB and Fire when combined. THANK YOU.

These are the parents. Pastel Fire YB OD (Nellie) and Spotnose Clown (Homer).

First, I want to say WOW those are some beautiful fire babies and I LOVE your baby momma, lol.

I think you are spot on with your identifications. Although I think someone else with more experience than myself could better spot anything you or I have missed.

Most of your IDs look correct. Only ones I would reevaluate are:

I am not sure OD is present. I know that could be the camera/computer screen, OD is notorious for being a pain in Pastel combos that way.
I do not see Spotnose in this animal
ODYB, not Fire OD

Thank you. First time mama gave us 9 beautiful babies. She was my first I bought. I just saw that her genes were in so many combos that I just wanted her.

I’m confused. For 3 we thought Firefly OD cuz the white head. So, she doesn’t have pastel? And OD has been guesses for us. I know OD can lighten up the background but also hide other genes. Aargh, it’s hard. What are the identifiers for YB and OD in that one?

Should read:

One last thing. I can get a daylight pic of #1 tomorrow but now realizing if you take out OD from 1 then 1 and 2 should both be SN FireFly, however, when you zoom in on 2 it’s not as crisp/clean and looks different than 1. So does that mean 1 has OD. Here’s 1 and 2 in order.

Seeing them side-by-side, I am inclined to agree with you on OD being there. This kind of thing is why I put the caveat in that I did LOL
