Well, this was a surprise!
So, a little background: in addition to my own reptiles, I help babysit for an animal husbandry school and conservation program in NJ (cornsnakes are endangered there) during the summer months they’re closed, and three days ago, I found this clutch in with one of their corn snakes (and it was NOT one of the corn snakes I was expected). So, I rushed to set up an incubation bin. I got eight eggs that looked pretty good, but definitely four slugs. I’m really excited to help hatch these babies for the program, and I’ll be keeping an eye on the other female I have that looks very gravid with a double clutch.

Very cool! Was she housed with a male?

As part of the conservation and husbandry program, they do breed them and they bred this girl in the spring where she laid a clutch. So, she essentially double-clutched here with me.
