A Question About Substrate

Hi everyone, I’m new to ball pythons and currently setting up a 4x2x2 enclosure. I have everything where it’s supposed to be but substrate has me stumped slightly. I plan to use Just Coco coconut fibre but have no idea how much I should use. Product states that one block yields between 50-60 litres of substrate with 10 litres of water added but I need to know how much to order for the viv I have.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It won’t hurt to order a few blocks, so you have replacement bedding ready as you spot clean and then do a full bedding removal. A 2" deep layer in that enclosure will use 35-40 liters if I did the math correctly.

I also calculated 35-40 liters. I would get one per 2 inches of how deep you want it and then you have a little extra for when you spot clean and to replace some of the substrate.

4x2x2? Must be a big BP!
