No, I still look occasionally but I don’t think there is any chance of him having survived the cats.
Thats unfortunate. I’ve had a baby crestie get caught by the cat. It sucks. ![]()
Fleur laid her clutch of 14 this morning, which will be full siblings to the babies on this thread. They have an estimated hatch date of late Memorial week or the week after. I’m so excited for this clutch!
Everything about this is soooo cool I love it all
The clutch started hatching on Saturday and as of right now 7 out of 13 have pipped. I did lose one egg a couple weeks ago. So far I’ve got 2 albinos, 4 normals, and another mystery baby! It doesn’t look exactly like C’thun, pictured above, but I can see most of the markers already. It has a solid head stamp, black eyes, red hued cheeks, blue/grey belly and a reduced pattern. The biggest difference is the pattern. C’thun has a barely visible pattern but this one I can see it quite clearly despite being faded. I can’t wait for it to get all the way out of the egg!
Bonues baby pic!
Fleur also double clutched another 6 eggs and are due to hatch the first week of July!
Well congratulations ![]()

! And another mystery baby! I am like you! I can’t wait to see what he/she looks like! Please post when you can! ![]()
This video was taken by a camera I have set up in the incubator so the quality is rather poor, but I was still over the moon last night to watch this baby cutting through the egg and taking its first breath. Hopefully I’ll have more pictures tomorrow once everyone is out of their eggs.
Wow! Great video! New life is always a miracle!
It surely is. Every time I get eggs and then see the babies hatching it feels like Christmas!
Sneak peek before the full photo shoot. There’s still a couple resting in the eggs so I’ll wait until tomorrow to check genders and get them settled in their tubs.
Unfortunately I think I may have lost one baby in the egg. It’s been about 18ish hours since the last pip but there’s still one egg that hasn’t. I did cut it open a little in case it’s having a hard time but I’m not sure I saw movement when I did so. I hope it’s okay.
Awwwww me too! That reddish baby is gorgeous! And of course the mystery baby!
They’re all gorgeous , great variety! Congratulations!
It’s always a good feeling to see a bunch of newly fresh snakes ![]()
New mystery baby is another boy, and oh my goodness is he gorgeous! I expect he will lighten up as C’thun has but he definitely has a lot more visible pattern. For reference C’thun’s baby picture is the 5th pic.
Though I’m disappointed I missed out on Snow again from this pair, I am really excited about these two boys and the potential they have. C’thun will probably be ready for next breeding season and I’ll be able to learn a lot from his offspring.
In other news, the remaining baby in the egg is alive and is slowly making it’s way out but I’m feeling guarded about it. I looked at it more today and it’s missing the right eye and I think the egg tooth, which would explain why it didn’t pip when all the others did. I opened the egg up more and I didn’t see any other defects but it still has a fair amount of yolk to absorb and seems slow with it’s movements. I left it in the egg and it’s back in the incubator but the next few days will be telling I feel. If it survives, this little one will be staying with me for a lot longer and it will need a special home. But right now we just have to get through the next couple days and a feeding before I can think ahead to that.
Oh that new little boy is pretty unique like his big brother! This event is making me smile! And even though you had a bit of disappointment I am sure those 2 boys will make up for it in the future! Who knows what wonderful babies they will make!
And I do so hope that sweet little pokie baby will make it! He must be a tough little noodle. I know you will do right by him if he does make it. ![]()

Thank you! And any prayers you can spare for the little one are appreciated. I don’t have too many people who would understand for “just a snake”.
Prayers you got! In my book there is no such thing as “just a snake”. It’s all a glorious creature creation!
Being picked up was too much for this baby ![]()
And after the fact, wondering if it’s safe to come alive
I got a couple other pics but none of the anacondas. This pairing seems to make very pretty red toned condas.
The one eyed baby is still making it’s way out. It looks like most of the yolk is absorbed now so hopefully by the end of today it can graduate to a tub. I think I’ve decided I’m going to name it Pua. I don’t normally name babies that I intend to sell but I feel like this little one deserves a name. Now I have to think of something special for the new mystery boy.
Pua finally left his egg. He’s the second smallest of the clutch at 5.9g, but still a good size. I don’t see any other defects aside from the missing eye and he’s a bit more active now. He’s absolutely precious ![]()
