Add a new sort feature (lowest price with shipping)

Was thinking that a new feature should be added to the sort filter. Morphmarket should add sort by “lowest price with shipping”.
This would greatly help sellers and buyers in their search.

Maybe… But the other downside is sometimes the estimate prices are wrong. For example it can actually be a huge difference in shipping from say California to Texas vs California to NY
That’s why a lot are listed as a range for shipping.

Generally I already have an idea of what shipping would cost when I start browsing. Unless I’m searching local and expect to pick up.

You have a good point. When it comes to shipping I now just use a flat rate anymore. I figure the Cost for the box and packing materials. Then I combine that with an average shipping price. Since morphmarket started their own shipping I’ve just set my flate rate at usually $50.
With most of my more rare morph combos and higher priced animals i just offer free shipping.
The economy still sucks right now so any edge on the competition helps.
Adding a feature that sorts based on total price with shipping included would greatly help the buyer as well as seller.
Heck adding a sort feature like “shipped free” would work for me!

No need to add something that already exists.

Thats not a sort feature in combimation with price.

Instead of answering with an attempt to sound better/smarter than the OP, just take the time to actually read and understand the post. If you did this you would have seen your response has nothing to do with the question…“combined price with shipping” feature in the SORT option while doing a search.

Im very Aware that you can search all reptiles that ship for free. That doesnt help with trying to sort and look at ALL boas, for example, and not just the ones that ship free. The idea is a sort feature, that sorts all listings of boas, but by lowest price COMBINED with shipping. As soon as you use the free shipping sort button now you ONLY get to see boas that ship free, not boas of the lowest price with shipping.

Its like you read a whole post then latched onto the last few words in excitement. Oh wow, “now I have him” lol. But, if you would have simply understood the context of the post you wouldnt have been so excited.

You came back 3 months later to just drop insults?
If the reply took that long I’m assuming it’s not nearly as big of an issue as you are making it out to be in that response.

I’m only looking at this again because I get tagged for having responded previously.
I assume since only myself and 1 mod had answered this isn’t a very desirable feature for many of us.

I’m not going to edit your comment but it was uncalled for. Please keep discussions in the forum limited to sharing information and advancing the hobby.

Your statement was a bit ambiguous, to me this:

Sounded like you wanted the ability to sort animals that ship for free by lowest price first, unrelated to your initial request, which can be done with the available features. It wasn’t clear you meant you wanted to search those in combination with all boa results. There was no intention behind my post other than to see if you were aware that small bit was already possible. Being a community support member, my role is to provide helpful information where I can. Anything you inferred in my post was purely your assumption. I do suggest you take time to read the community guidelines in regards to what is acceptable here.

As for your original request, that wouldn’t be easy to do if it’s even possible. Then there’s the question, would the results be worth it? There are multiple options for shipping, (free, flat rate, a range, or by inquiry) that need to be accounted for, and no real accurate way to sort them by a total price. Would “Inquire for shipping” results be listed first, last, or by the price of just the snake? How would anything with a price range show up in the results? No matter how the sort is set up, there will be a good, if not significant portion of those results that would still require either checking the individual listing or inquiring to get an accurate price. This essentially negates the usefulness of the feature.

Someone providing the information, that does indeed answer the question, in the fewest words possible is not them “attempting to sound better/smarter”. It is them being succinct. Not everyone has hours free to be verbose and sometimes a fast answer is all the time they have
