Adding KRP (Kubsch Red Pastel) to genes for Boa constrictors [DONE]

Gene Request Form

Facts
Both the Kubsch and Red Pastel came from Vin Russo. Vin was one the first to work with Kubsch in the USA. His animals came directly from Sylvio Kubsch in Europe. I believe the Red also came from Europe. In 2006 he bred both lines together. This was either his first or second pairing using this combo. I purchased a pair or trio (Don’t remember) before they were born. He had no combo name for them, so I named them Kubsch/ Red Pastel or KRP. The reason I chose those was mostly for the Kubsch. This “Pastel” was also pattern dominant. With enclosed saddles and long tail pattern. They also had a very clean appearance, with good color. Red Pastel whose primary contribution is the red. As I understand, the originals were almost Erythristic. They are genetically combined with their own “Signature” and are neither pure Kubsch or pure Red. They absolutely cannot be be separated genetically. Kubsch/ Red Pastel (KRP) is a package deal. Which is actually good since it’s a unique blending. The benefits of both further enhance any pairing they’re added in. In Europe the pairing of two Kubsch together produced the original high color contrast, full pattern Square-Tailed Boas. Statements from breeders in Europe, and the appearance of the original Kubsch suggests that it originated in the area of Northern Colombia where there are naturally occurring intergrades of B. imperator and B. constrictor.
