AK Morphs 2024 Season

There are quite a few people who believe it should be reclassified as inc-dom! I’ve yet to see a het monsoon that doesn’t look at least a little off

I thought I commented before, but it seems like I misremembered  I’m not surprised in the slightest that this animal did not turn out to be an example of androgenesis. Androgenesis has not been observed in vertebrates without humans causing it, and that was only in a species of fish where scientists intentionally destroyed the nucleus  it’s a very cool snake though! What a nice combo, I love what fractal does with other aberrant pattern genes

Thanks for keeping up with the results @incarner

I know a lot of people were interested in the results, and I’m glad I sent part of the shed out to confirm the theory with Mojave. As it started to put on weight, I knew it was no longer a Monsoon and would prove Mojave.

That is incorrect. Warren Booth has documented androgenesis in snakes on more than one occasion

Do you have a link to any posts or videos discussing this? I do stand corrected however, there is in fact empirical evidence of androgenesis in vertebrates. It was published in 2017, and observed in Squalius alburnoides. I’m absolutely open to being corrected, but would like some sources to look through on it.

Can y’all discuss this in a private message and not on my season thread
