So recently, I acquired my first jumper, phidippus regius, and let me just say, I’m in love!
Her name is Marmalade!
I also, may have picked up two bold jumpers in the past week, I’m addicted!

I’ve always thought it takes a special kind of person to love a spider, but then again most of the world probably says that about snake enthusiasts. In any case, welcome aboard our special train of oddball animal keepers. I guess your baby is…breathtaking. Remember that episode of Seinfeld?

Oh, I get it! I used to be terrified of spiders, until I held one and realized they’re really quite docile.

. I have an extra enclosure and I was in the garage a few days ago looking for a spider

I was just looking for any little spider. I don’t know what is what except for the little crab like ones. But I think I found another type of wolf spider in a plastic tub in the garage but by the time I got around to catching it, it was gone….

I love jumpers! I got my first one a little over a month ago. Her name is Kiko.
I also found one in my bathroom the other day so Ive given him a proper house.

Ok, so I’m not the only person who does this.
Not really arachnocentric but I always seem to have a “pet” spider somewhere. Like a big striped wolf that lived under a pot on my stairs or this pumpkin rump jumper I found on a rock hounding trip. It lives in my atb viv and eats bugs off the tongs.

Oh I love the name Marmalade! I just found my jumper this morning deceased after having her for a year and a half. She was a joy to watch and handle. I got into jumpers after following @baby_yoda’s journey with babies ha-ha

I’m so sorry for your loss 
. I’m really happy i could get someone else into jumpers! I hope you decide to get another one eventually! Yeah i’m not sure if i’ll try for babies with jumpers again, it was very stressful and overall didn’t really seem worth it while im in school. Maybe after im done with school ill go for it again but it won’t be for a long time. Thinking about trying to breed hermit crabs though to add to the captive bred population and hopefully help at least a few people to not go for wild caught. Should be a lot less time consuming than jumping spiders
