Low expression but yes it looks Arctic Conda to me, its one of my favorite hoggie morphs

They also have a back stripe that I think is neat for a Conda

I won him from an auction for a good price. I’m very excited! Although ad said high expression, I’m still happy because look at how pretty he is

They probably meant high-expression on the Conda part, with how minimal the spots are.

The Arctic was what I was referring to being low expression. Still pretty though

The seller said he paid 650 back for this in 2019. Idk how much these usually cost i seen a bunch of different prices. But youre right. Thank you!

Hog prices are dropping like rocks because it’s the new hot species and there are a lot of new breeders popping up.
Was actually having a discussion about it with a hoggie breeder at a reptile show yesterday

Also you can look at past ads by searching the morphs at MorphMarket. Artic condas were around 600 back thhen

Its kinda sad that snakes sell like that. I mean i understand it being business but still an animal shouldnt be a trend

It’s a weird problem with society and human nature. Trends are always going to be an issue. Even with animals, especially any popular dog breed at the time: Dalmatians, American bulldogs, st. Bernards, golden retrievers, huskies and labradoodles.
The rise in popularity of reptiles and arachnids is just making it more obvious than it used to be. I think jumping spiders are the ones I’ve seen multiplying alot at reptile shows the last 3 years I’ve been to

Trends even affect whales and apes. Pods of killer whales wearing octopi on their heads or attacking ships for fun. Apes ‘wearing’ grass like the human trainer putting it behind their ear.

Wow i didn’t know that about other animals.

And dogs like huskies rise in popularity without research being done. People dont realize those dogs are high energy. Source: i have two. They are my significant others and the snakes are mine, but still, those dogs are hyper. I have heard a lot of them end up rehomed.

Yeah, once a piece of media featuring them comes out there’s always people who don’t do the research.
Balto and Game of thrones had many people looking at huskies and to a lesser extent malamutes. GoT was especially problematic because of the dire wolf ‘Ghost’ being all white… And not many people realize an all white husky with blue eyes can be deaf.
I used to work at a vet clinic and I would always tell new husky owners to make sure the dog was always on a leash and to never leave a door open around them. They WILL run.

There’s been a few times it’s been helpful though as well. Free Willy helped to push towards the movement towards better conditions for orcas in captivity. Although I disagreed with the final decision of Freeing Keiko…that was tragic. The important part is to avoid further captures from the wild for entertainment.
Rio also brought some light to that particular species of parrot. The Spix Parrot is basically extinct in the wild, but conservative effort really helped to make it possible to possibly release them back to it someday.

Haha. Huskies are no joke, especially with small children. I’m a stay at home mom and have a 3 year old and about to he 6 year old. Along with the huskies, they have so much energy. I think thats why i enjoy my snakes. I get to hang out with them and they arent as loud or needy as everyone else.

Also how much are these guys usually costing now?

Fun fact in this regard, they’ve been releasing Spix back into the wild since 2022! There have since been successful wild born fledglings.

If we’re talking hognoses again, there are two up right now for $119, however an arctic conda hatchling usually goes for $200-$350. For RTB adults about $350.

I got this one for 105 plus shipping. Hes a RTB adult so I’m happy i got such a deal. Although i won’t ever be breeding him, i think it’s still a deal

You can get some great deals via auctions, especially for hognoses.
