Baby Corn, worried?

I’ve had him for about 4 weeks. He ate fine the first 3 weeks in 1 pinkie. This week he won’t eat. Should I be worried?

Nope. He’s probably right on schedule for a shed, and some don’t eat in shed. As juvies, they usually shed every 4-6 weeks. Looks like a nice palmetto.

That makes me feel good hearing that. I was super worried. How long should I wait to offer him food again? He’s 19 weeks old

You should wait until he sheds and offer food the next day. You should probably see the eyes go opaque at some point.

Shed cycle: 1. Colors dull. 2. Eyes go opaque and body is drab. 3. Eyes and body clear. 4. Shed within a few days.

For a juvie, this shed period only lasts 7-9 days or so. The shed period and frequency elongate as the snake gets bigger.

Exactly what I was thinking. I wouldn’t be worried.

Thanks a lot for the responses

Third voice here, same conclusion. Especially since you’re baby is light-colored, and it’s often challenging to see when the light ones are going into a shed cycle.
