Baby's First Blood

As someone who keeps mostly ball pythons, I’ve been interested in trying out bloods for years now, but never got around to it until last week - Say hi to Mustard!

Ivory with a really distinct dorsal stripe, I feel like I could just sit and stare at him all day. It’s been hard to leave him be while he fully settles, I only took him out to clean his setup after he peed everywhere and got a few nips for the trouble lol. Excited to see how he grows, he’s already taken his first meal with me!

I may have also pulled the trigger on a T- albino female… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Mustard (love the name) is gorgeous!!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I’ve never seen an ivory with such a dark dorsal stripe, he’s really beautiful and unique.

I fell in love with blood pythons probably 25-30 years ago when I saw one featured in a nature documentary on TV when I was a kid. It was the most beautiful snake I’d ever seen. Finally got a beautiful normal female as my second snake a few years ago. She turned 4 last month and she’s huge now, lol. But she’s wonderful, I think they’re a super underrated species. If I had the space, I’d want a blood python in every possible colour.

Congrats on your handsome little guy!
