Hey everybody! So there’s this teeny tiny little golden dust day gecko at our local petco…. (We were just there for crickets) long story short little dude has a dent on the back of his head they said it’s healed rather nicely ( the look on my face when they said that, but anyway) and the very tip of his tail had dropped but it does look as if it’s healing ……he’s originally 80$ ……well for anybody interested he’s a cheaper price …. The plan is to go and get him when they open in the morning we just ordered the 12x12x18 for him we do have some Scott’s top soil left and we now have plenty of leaf litter we pick up the tank once it’s ready for in store pick up …. We’re seriously on a budget but I can’t leave him there he was listening to me and peeking at me they said he didn’t do that
With anybody else (I didn’t think to get pics of him I should have) ….so research says bright lights of colors of 6500k? So like jungle dawn grow bar by Arcadia ? And I’m assuming the same exact uvb arboreal Arcadia kit we all use for our cresties since this dude is also arboreal ….can I use a Hologen for basking ? What are the cheaper options that are actually ok to use that I can get tomorrow that will do him until the better versions of what he needs comes in? ……we were just there for crickets lol he is just so cute and tiny and I know these guys can be tamed found several videos not many but enough to convince me that I can do this and I can care for
This sweet bebe! I know if I don’t use the right light combo he will lose his colors and become dark and I dont wanna take away his colors I want him to thrive and know hims is already loved and safe
