Backing out of a sale due to bad feelings about a buyer

This was a happy read, unexpectedly so after the title. I’m glad that things are smoothing out for all concerned.

I think it’s safe to say the vast majority of us genuinely care about the animals we produce and have in our care, and feel a sense of responsibility to ensure their safety. I know I do. However, I can also sympathize with the frustration of dealing with a seller who is overly nervous about shipping, and seems to be dragging it out (sans a good reason). Of course, there are winter storms and other extreme weather conditions that warrant holding off, but in my opinion, most of the time it’s reasonable to expect a seller to make a strong effort to ship, ASAP. There are many large scale breeders (who’s names I’m sure you’d recognize) who ship all year round without problems, and it’s because they know how to package the animals and do it safely. Again, there are times when it’s just stupid to ship, that goes without saying, but if I’m a buyer I want what I’ve paid for, as soon as possible. In my view that doesn’t seem an unreasonable position to take, as long as they are courteous/professional.
