Ball identification

I bought two het pies and one of them looks a little off from a normal the mother was sold they were both supposed to be just het pies but their babies also look weird to me I can’t really tell what they are but I’m thinking they look kinda like a spark or asphalt maby a mahogany.
the first pictures are the dad

Should be in order except I took both belly pics last
All of them have a white upper lip

I can’t help you with your genetics identification but maybe if I tag a couple of people for you, you will get some answers.

@armiyana and/or @cmsreptiles

Any thoughts?

These are not anything in the YB complex, so no Asphalt or Spark. And I am not seeing Mahogany, as that is a darkening gene

I could maybe possibly see Orange Dream. But I would want to verify that by some means (like a shed test)

Might just be what they hobby refers to as “het influence”

Almost makes me think calico but there’s not a lot of whitening coming up. It could be het influence or OD as t_h_wyman said or maybe something polygenic/line related as I assume they’re related?

You can always consider having them shed tested if that’s available to you.

I am also not seeing anything YB-complex, or mahogany. I believe they’re just strong het pied influence. Agree with shed testing - that could let you know if there’s anything else going on.

I’m only seeing some really nice flaming with possible genetic black back on them, you’d be surprised how just het pied can make an animal look. On that last picture near the tail on the flaming you can see what looks like almost a ringer, and the slight mottling in the flaming which especially just makes me think pied influence

Tyy I heard of het influence but I thought it was only a ringer on het pies

It really can vary a bit. They can have “train tracks” on the sides of the belly towards the tail. Ringers or patches of color on the tail is another one.
If other genes are involved sometimes they can also look like a low white pied.
