So I was feeding my ball python today and when I presented the mouse for him he immediately struck at it and took it like he normally does. He’s always had a very healthy appetite and I’ve never had any issues with feeding before. But today after he took the mouse he simply stayed coiled around it for about 5 minutes sniffing it and then dropped it. Now he’s just been sniffing around the mouse for a while and I’m not sure what to do. He just now put his mouth around it and then stopped. Ik the mouse isn’t too big because he’s eaten this size before.

They could be getting mixed signals with you hovering nearby. I’d try turning the lights off and giving them some time alone.
Otherwise are they possibly getting close to a shed? I’ve had a couple of times were snakes will still grab and wrap, but then not eat. The next day or so they would be in blue.
