Ball Python "Glow Up"

In my reading on Ball Python breeding as I have now entered my first season of breeding BPs I have read that Female BPs will go through a “glow up” after their post ovulation shed and a few weeks before they lay.

I want to know if this is something that all Female BPs go through or just some, and if this shows up or not on specific morphs. The sources I was reading from doesn’t really go over it in depth and I know this doesn’t really change anything about the egg laying proccess other than being a visual indicator of progression through those stages; its just more of a curiosity of mine since none of the other species I’ve bred go through this (at least none I have noticed or read about).

It would also be really neat if anyone has before/after photos or just general examples of what this might look like in their gravid females so please feel free to share if you do!

Based on my experience;

2 females one year didn’t do any glow up (Or even look gravid/behave any different!)

Same 2 females the next season, 1 glowed but showed no gravid signs (Just behavior), other female still didn’t glow, and showed no signs!

Both are normals, so I’m not sure if it’s based on morphs showing better, or if it’s the snake themselves!

Did they end up producing for both seasons? You only mentioned them not looking/showing signs of being gravid.
