Ball Python grow only 100g over 3 months, is it normal?

My female BP grows only 100 gram over 3 months since I got her, she is 7months and 300gram.

I feed her every 7 days with rats about 10% of her body weight. sometimes it’s bit smaller like 8%

but the growth rate seems slow for a juvenile at her age. she is a great eater and didnt refuse food. what should I do? Sometimes she got only 8% rat, can I feed her every 5 days of prey item is too small?

Attach photos of her, how is her shape, is she over/under weight?

Every snake can grow at different rates, there’s not really a way to say that your snake is too small or large for their age.
I have adult males that vary from 4 years and 800g to one at 1700g and a 24 year old male at 2300g…and a 4 year old female at 1000g. Another 4 year old female of mine is 1800. It’s just how it goes sometimes.

Your girl looks to have a great body condition which is the most important factor. And she’s eating on a regular schedule, so also a good thing. The only thing I would verify is is she was sexed correctly.

Thanks for your reply. Yep I bought her from a reliable local breeder, who sexed her. Tho I didnt sex her myself, it should be correct.

She looks like she’s in good shape. In every species, individuals can grow at different rates and be quite healthy.

If you’re interested in double-checking the sex of your snake, you can send a bit of its shed into RGI and find out for certain.
