New to breeding
I don’t know all the morphs/genes.
Thank you in advance.
Someone will come along to advise you on these babies but I have to tell you that before you begin breeding anything you should always learn/research genes/morphs, what goes with what and what not to combine. If you can’t identify what you have produced then you haven’t researched properly.
Those babies are very pretty though.
You need to tell us what genes the parents have or we can’t help you. Post photos of the parents as well for best results.
Yes,I completely understand
just wanted to try it for the first time.
Mom : Bumblebee
Dad: Blue eye leucistic (lesser/Mojave)
I’d wait until all of the babies have shed to get a clear look at them to properly ID them. The shed can hide some color that will become prevalent later so thats why I reccomend that.
I can try some guessing though based on the obvious patterning.
#1 and 2 are Bumblebee, however they are much lighter than #3 and 4 so there may be something else.
#3 and 4 are Bumblebees as well.
#5 looks to be Lesser Pastel.
#6 looks to be Lesser.
Ok I will post pictures
(After shed).thanks
Definitely best to wait until they have shed. The colors will shift and it should hopefully be a bit easier to tell lesser and Mojave in the spider offspring
As Caron mentioned, please try and study up on the genes you plan to breed and how the inheritance works. Because the father is a BEL, you are guaranteed to have at the very least Lesser or Mojave in each offspring. Because these are very common morphs, you can always search on the MorphMarket sales page and compare how these babies look to ones that have been for sale in the past. It can definitely help to learn how the appearance can change from one animal to another.
As best I can tell at the moment…
1 and 2 are pastel lesser spider. They will turn more tan after shedding.
3 and 4 Mojave spider. 4 might have pastel.
5 pastel lesser
6 lesser
7 mojave
8 Mojave spider
Alrighty
Is 1-2 queen bees?
Pastel+lesser+spider.
Yeah that’s the combo name. Some will call them Bumblebee Lessers too.
It’s up to you on what you want to call them, but for the sake of transparency I will usually just list out the genes instead of using combo names.
