Ball python identification assistance

Hey guys! I have this sweet babe in my collection. I was told the morph but want ideas from the experts! (black pastel /lesser) (:

Do you have any info on the parents?

Your snake is a beautiful example of a paradox. Unfortunately that also makes it difficult to really ID
The paradox area almost looks like a pastel Mojave cinnamon to me.

Thanks for your help! I don’t have a whole lot of info on her parents unfortunately. I was told that she is chimera as well but wasn’t sure if that adds up?

I agree with @armiyana on the morphs listed.

I can’t say whether this is Paradox or Chimerism… I don’t know much about either to say anything helpful, sorry

It is a really unique and beautiful snake though!

@t_h_wyman Oh great one, please look upon this animal with your wisdom!

I can’t really say. I’d be inclined to agree that chimera is possible, particularly since it looks like an entirely different combo and not just one particular gene is popping through. Which could be the blend of 2 different embryos. I just have seen most of the chimeras be split down the center and not kinda rolled together

This is an interesting one… My first inclination would be to say that it is indeed a WT/BlkPastel Lesser chimera. That said, I can think of a couple obscure genetic ‘wonks’ that might might allow for it to just be a mosaic instead…

I am half inclined to get RGI involved and see what their tests have to say about it LOL

That is a beautiful animal! LOVE IT! As for testing, we would be happy to do it…but in the case of Mosaics or Chimeras there is always the disclaimer that we can’t guarantee how an animal will breed from doing shed testing because we still won’t know for sure what the genetics are of the sperm or eggs. And that is all that will be passed on to the offspring. But if you are curious what morphs are there, we could test a couple different patches and see what we can find!
