Ball Python Identification Help

Hi, recently had a clutch of 5 BP’s hatch. I know 3 are BELS, I need help identifying the two in the pictures below. Pairing is Mojave Russo X Fire Lesser Pastel. Thank you!

Fire Lesser Pastel and Fire Lesser, respectively, would be my guess. But I advocate waiting until they shed out and get a few meals in them because their pigments will oxidize and settle in some now that they have left the egg and that can change their appearance

Are you sure on the genetics on your BEL?
If they are a Mojave Russo then having two lessers is impossible. They would also be BEL because every offspring of that BEL would be Mojave or Russo.

Is it possible that the BEL is Lesser Mojave?

You are right. I did not even think of this

Those animals might be Fire Mojave Pastel and Fire Mojave in that case. And the reason the look so pale is because of the pigment not yet being fully oxidized

I completely forgot to mention the Mojave Russo also had a confirmed lock with a Mojave GHI in addition to the Fire Lesser Pastel. I’m sure this will help more lol…but I am sure the mother is a Mojave Russo. Thanks again for helping me figure this out

This is the entire clutch

I was thinking that could also be the case. At least on the darker one. The lighter does make me think lesser as well. :person_shrugging:
Maybe just very nice expression fire and Mojave.

Downside is you may have a GHI BEL, so maybe consider shed testing if that is something you would want to hold back.

I love this little goober trying to hide.

off topic but I LOVE those babies, never been much into BEL’s, but every BEL pairing I’ve seen makes such beautiful oddballs (pun intended) like these two
