Is it possible for a mating pair to lock several times in a day, or lock release and lock again within a few hours? I believe there was a lock, but then they moved out of position and looked like another lock. The second lasted about 2 hours, the first I am not sure but guessing about an hour. There was no separation during this time.
I’m guessing they probably weren’t locked either time. It’s pretty easy to spot and they will stay locked 12 to 36 hours in my experiences.

Thanks for the info. I have seen and heard that locks can be 2 hr to 3 days. Just never heard of a lock and release. Good to know, thanks
