Hello
So I am interested in what you all think my babies are. The pairing was an Enchi Fire 66% Het Clown X Enchi Paste Het Clown. Clearly, the Female proved out to be Het Clown, because there is a Clown. They hatched on November 7 and just shed out. What do you think’s in each one?
Baby #1:
This one is definitely Enchi, but it might have something else in it; however, I don’t think I can put my finger on it.
Congrats on proving her out as het clown.
So yeah every non-clown is a 66% het as the easy part.
Fire can be so subtle when they first hatch out and brightens after a little more time to color up. Enchi, fire and pastel can all vary so much in expression as well.
I can absolutely be wrong on a couple so take my IDs with a grain of salt. Lol.
1- Pastel Enchi. Not thinking Super Enchi as other Supers have much more merging on the alien heads and a lot more banding across the back.
2- Firefly Enchi, a really pretty example too
3- Pastel, possibly Firefly but I’d give that one a little more time to color out. Could just be a nice Pastel.
4- This is the one I’m personally thinking is Super Enchi Fire, as compared to #1 the banding across the back is more prevalent and the Alienheads are broader.
Thanks so much to all of you for your help! I think @cmsreptiles is probably right. I will try to send follow-up photos of them after a few more sheds. In a way I am kinda bummed out that the only visual clown I got was just a single gene Clown, but still really nice to prove out the female, and clowns are pretty, so I can’t be too mad lol.
Keep an eye on that clown tho. The blushing around the neck does look a bit like the blushing on a fire clown. Fire can be a slow burn and get better as they age.
Will do! I am personally thinking that I might hold back the clown and maybe the Firefly Enchi or the Super Enchi Fire (if it is super). Also, it depends on which ones are male or female…
