Hey there. So I’ve just received a pair of U. Phantasticus, and am expecting eggs within 1 or 2 months. I’ve read people having success at about 70 degrees F, though I’ve also seen upwards of 80F. I’d prefer to incubate at a cooler temp, but the problem is I live in Southern Nevada, and so its 115F+ outside, and 76F-78F inside. Would an incubator still function properly if the set temperature was cooler than the ambient surrounding temperature? If not, is there any incubator that could do this?

I know little about them, but there are incubators that cool.
There are incubators that cool, but the cheaper ones, like the one deanaii linked, are unfortunately super unreliable. I used to have an identical one, but with a reptile brand name on it, and the thermostat went crazy and started upping the temperature on it’s own after a couple of months.

Yeah, I think you’d have to spend serious money on the laboratory types for real accuracy.

Interesting. Thanks. Thats what it seemed to me too. Most say they can, I’m curious to see how many actually can do it consistently and maintain longevity
