Best Substrate for Texas Rat Snakes

I was wondering what the Best Substrate is for a Texas Rat Snake not including news papers for when I first get it?

Aspen is always a good choice for North American colubrids. Though paper towels and newspaper are best for animals in quarantine so you can monitor their poop/health easily.

All of my colubrids go on this stuff. Doesn’t mold easily with poo or spilt water, isn’t pokey like shredded stuff (less chance of complications with ingestion), and holds shape well for tunneling.
