Big 2-month old?

I’ve shown this dude on here before.

He’s a Fire Leopard BP, hatched out June 5th of this year- so he’s just over 2 months old. Got him recently with 2 other BPs. His name is Toge.

For reference my hand, tip of the middle finger to the bottom of my palm is just about 7in.

He isn’t really heavy (126 grams) but he’s got a really big body imo for only being 2 months old, I noticed the moment I got him that he was large for his age. He has eaten twice for me now (12 gram ASFs) and I believe the person who produced him fed him at the same schedule I do now.

Idk… he just seems really big to me, he’s longer than the other 2 I got with him and he has a bigger head than they do, they are months older than him… Whats y’alls thoughts?

A lot of it comes down to the breeders too methinks. I had a large female give me a 9 eggs and the hatchlings were average. Another female the same size gave me 6. But the hatchlings were so much larger

My hatchlings this year have ranged from 55 to 80 grams as hatch weight.
A couple of them are definitely more heavy bodied looking as well. So I think the general polygenics have a chance to make some of them just look larger overall.

His weight definitely makes sense for his age, but he just has such a large body mass compared to that.

He is larger than my 197 gram baby and the 220 gram Enchi Clown that came with him length wise. His head is bigger than the 342 gram Mojave Calico’s head is, certainly he is a big boy.

Curious to see how he grows out. I’ve seen some monster proven males (4000-5000grams) at the expo that happens locally for me so it’d be cool if he ended up being like that lol. I mostly kid but still curious…

Hahah, my first BP is my largest lengthwise. I keep him lean but he’s still around 2000g. He’s always been a big boy tho. Most of my other males are so tiny next to him.
