Blood morph opinion?

Few months ago got ahold of this beautiful ~8 yo male with the weirdest appearance I’ve seen so far .
He changed his colours from first pic to second on SIXTH year of his life .Still cannot quite decide what’s up. Opinion?
It’s definitely not a curtus…unless a hybrid?
Very thin ik , that’s how I received the poor man, he’s eating like a beast and feeling amazing.

(I hope i added pics correctly :sob:)

If you can get a clear pic of the top of the head and a pic of the side of the face a scale comparison can be made.
Otherwise he looks like he could be breitenstein or brongersmai. Or kyaiktiyo, though that seems unlikely.
Maybe Toba crater(?)
Short tails are variable and ,unfortunately, have been crossed with each other. Still a check of the scales might help id him.
He does look a little skinny in the pics. Short tails rarely have feeding issues unless husbandry is way out of line.
How big is he? Length/ girth wise?

I forgot to mention that we did compare scales and he looks like brongersmai .
Here, hope it’ll paste the picture properly

He’s been through mites and respiratory infection at the previous place plus the age and several scars tell me that’s the reason of his current weight. He never refused any offered meals so far and seems to gain weight in a nice pace👏 also my female (batik) seems to be gravid so if the incubation goes well their babies might bring some explanation to his colours (ofc I will not sell them out not knowing what’s up with the male)
Definitely will update in case of success .
I’ll try to measure him but with how aggressive he is it will be problematic

Anterior parietals in broad contact and no scales between the eye and lip, brongersmai.
Now that color/pattern. Hmmm. There are some examples of adult pythons changing like this. I recall seeing an article about some blackheads changing this way at a few years of age. I personally had a burm fade out like a pair of jeans at @6 years old. Not common but it happens.
Consider that short tails are still occasionally imported, maybe a wild caught of unknown lineage. Or possibly a morph that wasn’t recognized by the breeder. Or it could be new.
Also, environment (temp, humidity)plays a role in color and pattern development though usually only to a minor degree. But if your set up is very different from his former home, that could be a cause for a new set of clothes. It isn’t unheard of for many types of animal to change appearance in response to a habitat change.

This is Rosee. She would like to meet your boy.
Finally, bred to your batik, some unusual things may pop up. Keep us updated on the outcome of that pair. Pics are always welcome.

Another thought. He could be a sibling to a morph.
Jaguar carpet python, non jaguar siblings are different than normal but not the same as jag(obviously).

I got him after he changed colours already and what’s interesting is that his spine is developing more and more black dots. I hope he’s not planning to go back to what he was😭

Rosee is a beauty! Here is two more I have

Albino t+ boy and a low quality normal which was my first snake .

I think normals are nice. Even the brown and yellow morphs. I would send a pic of my normal except I don’t have one. Lol. I have a 1.1 matrix het t- and matrix t-. Plus .2 t+ .1t+ matrix and 1.0 t+ batik. So, seven. I like to pick up multiples with the idea of keeping the nicest and rehome the others. I haven’t rehomed anything. Except a ball I gave a coworker.

This one is having some weird color/pattern changes.

Baby pic.

Zed. My camera lies about color. He is bright but not quite as the pic shows.

L’oran. Sitting in the bath.

I set her on a chair so I could clean and she had a windy convo with the t.v.
Last one is Sunshine. T-.
