Boa Constrictors!

Super orange, what a fitting name. One of my gaming buddies is Raging Phoenix. Lol, not much to do with your boa but I’ll share anyway🤣

She does look pretty darn good everyday @spottedbull. A few days after a meal and she really fires up.

@flrt-dennis thanks, I feel like she’s living up to it haha. My username comes from my counter-strike gaming days. Those FPS type games are just way too addictive for me

Finally picked up a BCI, well, picked him up a month ago. Got him off a Facebook rehome for $20. Previous owner said she got him as a Parahet. Not to sure what that is. I noticed a few days after getting him that he had stuck shed on his tail pretty bad. Previous owner had him on aspen. Once a week hit and i didnt notice any mites on the paper towel i put him on coco husk. He just shed and his stuck shed is gone. How does his tail look? Also thinking of naming him Jörmungandr. He is very tame and has a very curious temperament. He is also a yearling and she was feeding him once a month an adult mouse. Would that be a reasonable schedule? I will be feeding him appropriately sized asfs.

Hey congratulations on a great looking boy for a really great price! His tail looks pretty good, maybe the very tip of it a little scarred. But overall looks good!

As far as the feeding, I would definitely switch to the rats and I am all for feeding appropriately sized rodents once a week for the first couple of years at least. There is always a possibility that males will go off food for a few months during breeding season when they reach maturity but if they are a good weight the feeding strike won’t hurt them. Others will have different feeding opinions but the main goal is the health of the snake.

He does look like a really sweet guy and I am glad you have him!:snake::+1::blush:

Congrats on the boa, its beautiful. As for feeding IMO, I would feed that boa no more than 2 weeks to start. All the boas in my collection get fed every 12-14 days. No right or wrong way, youll figure out what works best your boa as we all have. :+1:

Parahet means your boa should be het albino Sharp and het albino BWC. BWC = Boa Woman’s Carmel. And the boa woman is Sharon Moore. There is no way to know for sure until you breed it to a guaranteed Parahet or an albino Parahet.

I would feed one rat every 10 to 14 days. Rat should be a little bigger than the widest part of your boas body.

Lucy shed out today and was looking awesome.

My daughter recently dubbed my ‘22 Rushin/summit/r d group pastel jungle; Sunset, who also shed recently. I think because it was evening with a nice sunset but looking at her tail saddles it’s pretty spot on👌so it’s a keeper
