Boa Constrictors!

I love Surinames! Their coloration, pattern, and contrast are just beautiful. I’d love to have one but unfortunately they get too big for me to feel comfortable keeping one, especially since I live alone

They definitely can get very large, especially females so I can understand that for sure. Here’s Brian holding one of his adult females that weighs over 50 pounds.

My 2023’s, anery motley x sunglow. It was so disappointing not having either parent prove, but at least they’re all guaranteed double hets!

The only spicy one of the bunch. I have already dubbed her Baby Spice because of it. :joy: When she’s older I’ll just call her Miss Spice.

They didn’t handle hoppers well when I first tried to move them up, but they all took them no problem this go round, and I finally got some second sheds out of it! Hopefully they’ll keep on them without a hitch. They’re big enough now, as long as they digest and handle it fine, they will be able to move up from hoppers fairly quick. Took them 4 months to reach the weights my 2022 litter were born at. The tiniest of babies istg.

Awesome to see you here Cassandra, we are in a couple of the same FB groups and I recognized those jungles right of the bat  You’ve got a great collection of pastels. That female hypo het anery is one of my favorite hypo jungles I’ve seen. Looks to be aging great too!

Holy cow @ccboas! Cassandra! Do you ever have boas! I’m so embarrassed about the post I made about you getting more!:joy:

I tried to pick a favorite but to be honest there is no way! I am so happy you are here and you surely are in the best of boa company!:blush:

Thanks everyone! I’ve been doing my best to lean into the pastel breeding, which I’m glad I waited so long to breed so I was able to do so from the start. They may not be as impressive as some others, but I still got a decent selection to work on.

@smite That’s awesome! I recognize some of your animals, too. The more orange gal? I’m super happy with her, too! Dominika makes some amazing babies. With any luck, I’ll have another litter from her in either 2024 or 2025.

@caron No need to be embarrassed. I suppose I could still use some more. Though I certainly don’t need the encouragement! lmao I got a few more on the way, and have some plans for next year. After that, hopefully I can take a break until my current females start maturing and producing. Need IMG (in Kahl and/or VPI), and another fire. haha And yes, it does seem like a nice concentration of boa keepers here!

Late posting these, but these are my adults!

2015 sunglow poss het anery who didn’t prove this year :disappointed: Bouncing back nicely after her litter, though. Now just to work up those muscles again.

2008 jungle girl Dominika, who gave me last year’s litter.

2016 anery motley poss het Kahl, who also didn’t prove. He was the one paired to the sunglow above.

The ghost I paired to Dominika for last year’s litter.

And of course, the normal I posted in my intro.

Dominika is a knockout. I see where those sweet jungle patterns are coming from.

This is the one I was referring to. So nice!

@ccboas! Cassandra!

I really like all your jungle stuff. Good job on producing them. Jungle is one of my favorite morphs. Also, like your big female sunglow. Your hypos are nice, too. Thanks for posting all the pictures of them. I know all the regular MM people can’t get enough pictures of boas. Me included.

@smite Ah, I see! Yes, she is definitely my favorite as well! She was heading towards a deep salmon color on her sides a while there, but with her last shed she lost most of it again. But each shed is different, some are a step forward, some a step back. So will just have to see how she ends up. :joy:

@tommccarthy My sunglow actually isn’t all that big! She’s only about 5.5’, but still gave me a litter of 17 with only 3 slugs! Her gravidity was a heckuva ride too. She refused to eat a month before ovulation, and then dropped 3 weeks late. I had a big move right around the time she was due, too. :joy: I’m super glad she had her litter without any complications despite all the craziness.

@caron Definitely no shortage of pics here. :joy:
