I turned him into a slug
I would say she is looking very good Tom
She’s looking beautiful! So clean.
She is fantastic!
Got home from work early enough today to take Rocket outside for a bit. Here’s some stills from a short video I took. Still getting darker. The pink on his cheeks is getting really saturated but the black is filling in there at the same time.
Whoa whoa whoa! Sorry for double dipping but did they fix the picture upload quality degradation issue? These ones I just posted look just how they look on my iphone.
He is sooo pretty Eric! His colors are so rich!
One of my favorites
I saw the video on IG, and those stills capture everything I like on that face! He’s really looking killer
He really is pretty epic!
Very nice Eric. Love his colors and head pattern. Hope he keeps some of that red / orange color under his eyes. Also like his wide saddle pattern.
@smite Thanks again. Really happy with how he is turning out. He’ll be 18-mos old in December so I’m contemplating pairing him with my female VPI at some point this winter. I’d like her to put on a little more size by that time so we’ll see.
@spottedbull Thanks man. He looks so metal but his personality is easy listenting.
@tommccarthy I was comparing the pics from last night to some from a few months ago and the black is invading those cheeks. We’ll enjoy it while it lasts. That’s a nice sunglow you posted the other day. Hopefully I get some nice VPI sunglows from this guy and my VPI girl in the not too distant future.
I’ve been having a lot of Clarice time lately while I patiently wait for these next two FLRT litters to drop
Love Clarice pattern and color.
Well, I had an interesting (read: nerve wracking) weekend here. I took Babs out Friday morning for a few minutes before work and noticed a slight wheeze and faint pop when she breathed. Obviously that was concerning but she didn’t have any other symptoms of RI. I checked her again after work and heard the “wheeze” sound again. Still no other symptoms (e.g. mouth open breathing, excess fluid, discharge) but I called and made a vet appointment for this morning (Monday) anyway. I moved her cage from the snake room to separated her from the rest of my collection. I thought I heard the wheezing sound again Saturday morning when I checked in her but I couldn’t be sure. Did not hear it yesterday when I checked on her.
The exotics vet that saw her this morning said there was no visible sign of infection, so she said xrays and/or a swab were not necessary at this time. She even commented on how healthy, well taken care of she appeared and that she has great body condition, so that was validating. The vet tech was taking pictures of her.
I am relieved it doesn’t appear to be RI. If it was I would be at a total loss as to how she got it. I’m not sure what caused the weird sounds I heard on Friday. The vet said it could have just been temporary exposure to some irritant but I am not sure what that could have been. All other animals are healthy and her temps humidity have been in the appropriate range.
Anyway, I am going to keep her separated from the rest of my collection for a couple of weeks and keep a close eye on her. Really glad it doesn’t appear to be anything serious.
Probably just allergies. Couple of benadryl and she will be fine!
I am sure I am totally off base here but I think I remember this wheezing for no reason subject come up and I thought someone posted that this wheezing can sometimes be associated with the beginning of the shedding process?
If I am wrong, and I probably am, I am sure someone will jump in here and correct me!
