Peaches is a show stopper Tom. So much pink already. Wonder what that’s gonna look like fired up after a meal, wow!

Love those face markings on Rocket. Getting nice and dark too. Darci’s sides are really starting to fill in, in a similar way.

@smite The war paint! I wish I had noticed that bit of schmutz on his head between his eyes before I took all these. Oh well.

I separated him and my VPI PP female the other day. I don’t think he got the job done this season. I saw plenty of courting behavior from him but never witnessed a lock or anything that looked like an ovulation from her. He’s not even two yet so I am not surprised. She is beginning a shed cycle though so we’ll see how long that lasts. I’ll be better prepared for next season.

I also got a little something coming in the next few weeks that should increase my chances for next seasons!

Hi Matt
Just spot clean as needed. Keep freshwater for her to drink. And still offer smaller meals. Most of my gravid females still eat when gravid. They stop eating for me just before giving birth.

@eorr53 thats pretty much what I was thinking haha. Look really wild when I popped open that hide.

@flrt-dennis I appreciate that brother! I’m very excited to see what comes of this. hope all goes smoothly.
@tommccarthy I appreciate that guidance, Tom! I was due to feed last night but held off when I saw that swell. I plan to offer her a downsized meal. Normally Cali and Blush take l-xl rats but I’ll offer larger mediums going forward.

Time to start building some baby racks.

Oh my goodness, she looks like she swallowed a baby seal. :joy:

Looking forward to seeing what she gives you. I love how pink Cali is. Remind me again all the genes involved in this pairing?

I feed small to medium rats to my gravid females.

Her pink is my favorite part about her too. I don’t know much about her lineage except that she is Kahl strain albino and supposed to be het anery 1. I feel like she has a “coral like” appearance but that could just be some strain of pastel or she just happens to be a real colorful girl.

I paired her up with my RC pastel jungle het kahl albino male, Dude. He was produced by RC from an RC Pastel het Kahl x Coral sunlgow. He’s got great color in my opinion.

My goal putting these two together is Kahl stock that’s hopefully very colorful without too many mutations involved.

However, Matt, my big girl, will get a large rat tonight. As she had her babies last night.

Well, one female had her babies last night.
17 live and healthy looking babies 1 DOA and 3 slugs. Will figure out what they are sometime next week. Only 3 albino all the rest are sunglows. Looks like I got 4 or 5 sunglow motley jungles. Already see a few keepers.
