Boa Constrictors!

@tommccarthy Thank you! It was a pleasure getting to meet you, as well. For the both of us! And hey, in shed or not, all of those animals were gorgeous imo, so I guess we’ll have to plan next time around when they’re NOT in shed. :yum: Can’t wait to see when your litters drop for this year. And the next, seeing what you’re planning to pair this upcoming season!

@caron It was boa heaven for sure, though Tom had a few surprises up his sleeve! My mother had a great time, as well, and Tom and I are conspiring to make a boa enthusiast of her, yet! :joy:

I’m absolutely smitten with them, pictures really don’t ever seem to do them justice. I’m hoping in about 3 to 4 years to pair Anri with my boy Jethro (my first snake ever) and get a nice hypo het Kahl holdback, as he’s starting to get up there in age and I’d like to continue his bloodline - I’m a pretty sentimental individual, lol. As for Crue, he’ll be a future boyfriend to my OT hypo Nami in about the same timeline as long as both girls seem up to size for a litter. That’d give me hypo, super hypo, jungle, and motley combos that are all het for Kahl albino, so quite the variable litter!

And alas, here’s a little photo dump from the pictures my mom took!

As you can see, it certainly was boa heaven - I think I had more fun here than I’ve ever had at any expo!

Plus a few surprise colubrids, getting to see these hondurans in person just makes me more convinced I need to get myself an extreme ghost at some point, these guys were awesome!

Your mom took some fabulous photos! You are so blessed to still have your mom, especially a mom who is not afraid of and open to snakes, especially big boas! I’m so glad for the both of you to have had such a fantastic experience and to meet Tom personally! @tommccarthy Tom YOU ARE a KEEPER! I mean that in a kind sense! You’re the best! :pray::heart::snake:

Now that your trip is over we need to get together to make our plans Elijah! You’re a jewel! :heart::snake::pray:

It was a lot of fun talking and showing Elijah and his mom my boas. It was a to bad they had to leave as they had a long trip back home. I didn’t get the chance to show them some of my other boas. Maybe next time Elijah you are always welcome over.

Hazel has some amazing color to her, I do believe she was one of the snakes you showed me yesterday, yeah? That tail striping is gorgeous, as well! :heart_eyes:

@lumpy

Riley you should post some updated pictures of all your boas. Haven’t seen them lately. :thinking:

Hope your feeling better now from your accident you had.

A bit of a cross post with the shed thread, but this gorgeous girl is looking amazing in her fresh skin! Couldn’t be happier with her, @tommccarthy - now for Crue to give me a shed as well!

@adon87
Adon87 I assume that is a blood boa but what else is it? Knowing you has to mix in with your snows :thinking:

For an older blood boa I do like the base color on it. I haven’t seen many adult bloods thought most brown out as adults.
