Boa enclosure advice

Hey Breeders and Keepers!

Ive been considering purchasing a male BCI, im not new to reptile keeping but have never worked with boas.
I have a typical 3Lx2Hx2D breeder tank for a baby animal. I also have a PVC 6Lx3Hx2D enclosure.

My question is is the 6’ tank large enough to house an adult male as a permanent home?

I dont have the space for a larger tank and I dont want to get an animal that will become too large to fit in it. The last thing I want is to have to rehome an animal because I wasnt prepared for a large snake. I love boas but theres a lot of great snake species to also look more into if a boa isnt a good idea for the size.

Thanks ya’ll!

In general adult male BCIs grow to 6 to 8 ft with some as long as 9ft and as short as 5 ft. But size also depends on feeding methods…

So the 6x3x2 may work for a avg size adult male BCI, though their size can vary based on genetics, health and diet/diet frequency as @caron has already said.

If you’re willing to work with them there are smaller/dwarf Boas you could look into them!

Your cages will work fine for a BCI male. Or just about any morph boa you would like. Cage maybe a little small for a few pure female BCC boa. I have keeped 9 foot boas in 6 foot cages before. But I did take them out alot for exercise in the yard or the house.
