Boas of Madagascar

My most colorful Madagascar Ground Boa, “Stackette.” She is a 2020 animal and I’m hoping to breed her to Pan in 2025.

wow! how are these not as popular as other boas? I think MGB have the most beautiful natural color/pattern I have seen!

Exceedingly rare in the hobby and also small litter size. Some also report them as being more difficult to breed than Dumerils

A large Dumeril’s female may have 20 or more babies. With MGBs, 6 babies is considered a lot.

This is Hera, one of two dumerils I kept back from my very first litter of boas in 98’. We had her for a spin while we added some deep cover leaves for her enclosure. Dumerils love the fall here with an abundance of willow… gets em submerged and great humidity bump when leaves are misted. Here she is with the wife- this Dumerils is over 9 feet and weighed in at 50 pounds today! Kinda looks/acts like this Dums could be further into a pregnancy than I expected, beefy!

I have lines of dwarf and huge 'ems Dumeril boa- This be the later for sure.
