Hi all. So i need some advice. This Borneo probes between 7-8 scales. When popped this is the most i can get to appear. Based on experience from others would you say male or female as im aware they are hard to sex by inexperience keepers

I don’t keep borneos, I only have ball pythons as far as snakes go, but that looks like hemipenes to me, and it looks like a sperm plug/hemipene casing that popped out of one side. Would lead me to believe it’s definitely male.

Thanks…i keep royals too and sexing them is pretty straight forward. Borneos and other STP are difficult to sex and often probe deeper. Popping is supposed to be a more reliable way to tell but not my strong point
