Can someone shed some light on my boa's locality?

This is slate, I was told slate is a red tail boa. But I honestly have little experience and can’t tell if slate is a BCC of a BCI.

Definitely BCI. Beautiful boa you have.

Thank you  Slate is one of my favorite snakes, she was a little temperamental when I 1st got her but she’s gotten used to being handled regularly.

I just want to note that the continued nomenclature of BCC and BCI seems a bit odd now that Boa constrictor and Boa imperator are recognized as two separate species and no longer as subspecies of Boa constrictor.

Its the way its been for a long time so BCC and BCI is burned in memory. Same when they constantly change names of coral subspecies. Either way, its imperator nonetheless.

Some now it is BC and BI, right?

I believe so, until it changes again. Lol. You should’ve seen the stir when acanthastrea lordhowensis was changed to micromussa in the reef world! Lol.
