from the pairing Special Pastel het. Clown X Lesser Clown I got 2 Visual clowns which look different. As it is my first Clown clutch I‘m not sure if one of them is Special or not.

They look more like 2 clowns with different polymorphic traits from the parents to me.
Lesser changes up the base color a lot and both lesser and special would pop the yellows more. The patterns tend to look more like jagged ‘M’ shapes and not as rounded as these two…I have lesser and special in my collection, but I’m not really great with clown IDs. So hopefully someone else pops in with more experience on them.

I think neither are Special Clown. I have looked at many Special Clowns as well as Russo Clowns who are probably the most similar in appearance. They are typically much brighter in the side with a very yellow or gold appearance. The also tend to have more pattern in the dorsal stripe. Here is my Russo Clown as a baby and as an Adult. The pic as a baby she may have been 200+ grams. The second pic she is obviously 1500+ grams. She is still brighter now than the two babies in the pictures. If you look at enough pictures of Special Clown and Russo Clown here in the MM ads, you should be able to better determine for yourself.
