CMSReptiles Breeding Plans for 2026

Just getting my Breeding Plans for next year out there!

Ball Python Breeders:

Females

Nobara Banana Lesser Pewter

She’s ready to produce another clutch for me as of now, but I’m going to hold off until January 2026 or later.

Opal Russo Lesser BEL

She just recently laid a clutch of eggs so I’m going to hold off on pairing her until late 2026, possibly around Oct of that year.

Mango Clown +?

Recently got this girl along with another male that I will include further down the list that was originally from @chesterhf. She’s passed quarantine and is well over 2000 grams so I plan to pair her up in January 2026. The male she came with is her son and he looks unique, @t_h_wyman and @chesterhf believe he may be a Carbon Clown as that is the closest comparison they’ve found, but that is yet to be proven…

Males

Pesto Clown +?

The male that came with Mango. Gorgeous Clown male, has a chaining pattern in his “alien heads” and stark grey-ish brown tones with a bright white belly, almost looks like an Axanthic in coloration but I know he isn’t from his parent info. Really hopeful to see if I can figure out if theres something going on with him other than Clown, would shed test him for Carbon but RGI doesn’t have a test for that morph

Jango Banana Mystic Pastel

My favorite, shhh… don’t tell the others , he produced some beautiful babies for me this year so if Pesto doesn’t get the job done I know he certainly will!

I think I’ll dual sire all of next year’s clutches with both Jango and Pesto… just to give Pesto a chance and see if he produces any babies, but if not Jango will give some variety babies and het Clown babies with Mango

Kingsnakes

So unfortunately earlier in August my only breeding female Brooksi Kingsnake, Coco, passed away I believe to reproductive issues (retained infertile eggs)… I have a male I was growing up to pair her to as well as my Hypo male Copper, but now I only have them unfortunately :frowning:

I’m not entirely sure if I want to continue with Brooksi Kings, as honestly they did not sell well for me although I enjoyed working with them. I might give it some thought over the next year just in case I change my mind- I am still somewhat in mourning of Coco so its a possibility I will reconsider once I fully come to terms with her loss.

I however do look forward to working with other varieties of Kingsnakes but its all still up in the air for now.

Other Colubrids

I have this 1.1 pair of WC Eastern Ribbon Snakes I sexed for confirmation a few months ago. They are cohabbed, so the possibility of them breeding next spring is there if they haven’t already paired withoutme noticing, and I’m super excited about that since they will be producing 1st Generation CBB babies. Its not a 100% guarantee for breeding but I’m adding them here just in case!

Oh and I just realized I never named these two! Anyone have any name suggestions??

Mourning Geckos

I figured I would add them here too, just because they reproduce basically all year round for me… I have yet to find their egg-laying spot in the huge 40gal terrarium I set up for them though so idk how many babies they have, how many eggs are incubating or any of that lol  I really need to set up a nighttime camera to see if I catch any babies running around with them…

But anyway thats about it for my breeding plans next year. I’m hoping for a good year next year :crossed_fingers::pray:

Cool plans! There’s something pleasing about the hands-off Mourning Gecko breeding. Love the Ribbons. I’d name them Ribeiro and Rebeca.

That would be pretty awesome if they proved to be carbon clowns!

That sucks to hear about your brooksi project, but I hope the ones you are working on do well!

Those ribbon snakes are hilarious looking!

I love them a lot

Don’t do well with handling but they are full of personality that makes up for it by just watching them. Its also really fun to feed them, the female has a giant appetite for tilapia and silversides :yum:

I’ll have to get a good side-by-side photo comparison of Pesto and Mango because I realized that the photos I provided of them really don’t do Pesto justice for his difference compared to his momma.

Hopefully you have a better time finding out the ribbon snakes had babies then my mom did when I was a kid.
Mom (who does not like snakes) found a snake in the dirty laundry pile. Opps. Wait. This snake is very small. Our one snake became 9 overnight. At least we think 9. We only found the one baby out and about with 7 more in the tank.

I’ve taken precautions to make sure any tiny babies cannot escape their enclosure if my female ends up preggo, but atm the female is still slender so I don’t think there is a possibility for babies yet…

Here are some better photos of Mango and Pesto

I’ll start with Pesto

And here’s Mango

It was a little harder photographing her, shes a bit too large for my photobox
