What do Inferno look like as adults?

Mom is a high contrast (Candy Cane) Inferno.

Sunny the Bantam / Shatter mom doubled yesterday, exactly 2 months after her first clutch was laid. That clutch is about to start pipping. 29 good eggs and 0 slugs in her first clutch. 8 good and 13 slugs in the second. Weight went from 610 back down to 485. I never want them to double, but she’s built for it.

Glad she did all right. If she’s gonna double at least she did it with safety.

She’s one of those super-calorie-assimilators.

Tried feeding the five who weren’t culled from the kink-clutch of Lava Cinders and Lavas. But they’re determined to cause me more grief. They’re energetic and active, so it’s no emergency yet.

The five rejected pinks were eagerly gobbled up by five SKs and Infernos that haven’t even shed for the first time yet. Two others in that clutch ate the day after they hatched. I don’t usually try that early, but it was a garbage disposal scenario, and I had a hunch. Those SKs are eaters.

So no more bantams yet?

The huge clutch that should contain them should be pipping any minute. Then it’s a matter of IDing them.

Aw, dang! Sorry they are being stinkers. Maybe the moon was in the wrong position today or something. I also had some first timers refuse today. I, too, gave the leftovers to others who were happy to get them.

Some shedders and eaters from the Whiteout x Tessera Bloodred clutch. It would be cool to hold back a male tessera blood and make pewter tesseras and more whiteouts with him and mom. But space is limited. I dunno.

03 is a runty 4g, but they ate anyway.

Some full bellies. No refusers among the blood and sk babies I tried.

So glad they’re eating well! Some of those babies have wonderfully bald heads. You definitely got some nice ones.
