Since we were discussing them, here’s one of my Tesseras with almost no belly checkers. She’s got colored “edges” but almost nothing else. Top and bottom of the lovely Clarissant. She shed and got fed so I grabbed a couple of pics. They’re not glamorous but they work for the purpose. Lol
She’s a beauty Caryl! ![]()
Thanks. She’s just as gentle as she is lovely, too.
I don’t remember seeing pics of her in your MM collection @caryl . She sure is a pretty tessera! I need to get some photos of my low-expression motley-tessera so @theslitheringgarden can see how it affects the tessera. Trouble with pics is I’ve sold most of them, and the one I still have is fairly high expression.
The clean dorsal stripe on this RF snow is still making me wonder if there’s a surprise low-E motley in there. I’ll dig up some pics and post soon.
Here’s one that still has quite a bit of side tessellation even though she’s guaranteed visual motley. Her dorsal stripe was cleaner than an average tessera, though, and 100% clear belly.
Edited to say: this is what a low-expression motley tessera looks like (cleaner dorsal stripe, some side tessellation, and clear belly)
Edited to say this is what a high-expression motley tessera looks like (clean dorsal stripe, low-to-no side tessellation, clear belly)
Thanks. You have seen her, she’s just had quite a color change since she hatched. She started as a pretty, dark Lavender who I wasn’t sure about being Moonstone until she shed a couple of times. If you look at her baby pics you may remember her. Or not. Clarissant isn’t the only one who has had a lot happening since 2024! Lol

Yes, now I do remember seeing her. Pretty thing. She has grown a LOT!
Thanks. She has! That clutch had some stellar babies who are now super nice 2 year olds.
