Does my snow tessera look like he could have a copy of red factor?
Hes getting more pink with age not white like id expect with a snow

Definitely! In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s homozygous RF. Can’t really know that without breeding, but he looks like it could be possible. I think I also see Halo around his markings. Halo and RF are often seen together since before either were actually identified, there were breeders selecting for “pink and green” Snows. He might even have something else going on, also.
If you get some pics in natural light, including belly pics, it can help with determining if he’s Halo.
Snows can be pretty colorful even without RF, but I would say your boy has at least one copy. Handsome fellow!

He does have a green look on him i just thought thats was normal hes my first snake but my sister had a snow when we were kids hers just looked alot more white that smores ever has
Hes the dad of my clutch from banana
Il try get some pics outside today unfortunately the weathers been rubbish had alot of rain this week
His belly is white but has a iridescent sheen to it same as banana

He’s very handsome. Still very much seeing Red Factor. Can’t tell anything more about potential Halo. But hey, your future babies may provide some additional answers on both of those questions!

This is the story of my life. Went from 2 snakes to 8 in a year.

Looks like your guy may either have homozygous motley or diffused, too, with his belly cleared of checkers. Tessera can eliminate all the checkers, but I’m under the impression it’s rare. I’ve never seen it myself. That said, he still has a lot of pattern to his sides, so if he is motley (more probable than diffused), he’s low-expression.
I don’t see any halo in the sunlight photos. Halo sometimes concentrates at the back half of the body one of mine, though, and I can only really see his front half in those photos. So I’d guess no halo, but if you see some obvious yellow-greens where you would expect white, halo would be the gene that creates it.

Hes definitely tessera the pattern was more noticeable when he was little

It can. I have had a couple of Tesseras without belly checkers who are aren’t homozygous Motley, Diffused or Stripe.
I see pretty distinct side diamonds on this animal, so I don’t think it’s homozygous Motley or Diffused. But I could be wrong.

If both tessera and motley cause the snake to have no checkers, how do you reliably tell when a snake carries both genes?

Tessera’s effect on the belly checkers is highly variable. It doesn’t seem to clear them completely often. And sometimes it even seems to increase checkering, especially with Sunkisseds. Tessera Motley has a more complete head to tail stripe than even Pinstripe Motley, and no side “tesselation.”

I do have a very low expression motley mom (no tessera, no belly checkers) and have crossed her with a motley tessera dad. Together they have thrown a few motley tesseras with some mild side tessellation due to the low-expression motley from mom. They almost look like regular tesseras. But since both parents are motley, none of their babies have belly checkers. That’s why I thought maybe yours had a low expression motley in there.
