Crested gecko advice

Hello morphmarket community! This is my first post so forgive me if I get something wrong. On Saturday I brought home a baby Crestie named Twix and I have a few questions that I would love if you guys could help with, thank you in advance!

  1. Can you tell how old he is from the picture? I’m not sure if that is something you can tell but the petco guy guessed three months.
  2. Is this tank a proper size for a baby? I will upgrade when necessary but for now he lives in this tank.
  3. Is the tank set up properly?( enrichment, etc)
  4. Is it normal not to eat for this long?(since saturday) I can pick him up so I let him lick off a little food on my finger but he won’t eat out of the bowl and I’m starting to worry. I know it takes some time to adjust but he lets me hold him and he is not timid so I figured he should have started eating.
  5. Any idea what morph he might be? No I am not breeding him,I know his genes can’t be confirmed and its not a good idea. I’m just curious to know.

The tank size is 24 by 18 by 18. I mist him every morning and night and change his Crested diet every day. I haven’t fed him any bugs yet but I intend to feed him small roaches eventually.

Any other tips or advice I should know as a first time
crested gecko owner?

I have done a ton of research and I am just checking to make sure I’m doing it right for my little boy!

  1. no unless you know their hatchdate, you can’t really tell anything unfortunately

2+3+4) it looks fine size-wise, you really can’t go too big, but it looks like there’s a bit too much open space for a baby. More clutter would help as a tank that is too bare might make a gecko feel too exposed to eat. That being said, them not eating for a while after moving is normal, it can take a few weeks. Make sure to leave it completely alone, and do not hand-feed it, as to not stress it out any more. That’ll just prolong the time it’s not eating. While they can eat daily at that size, they don’t need to eat every day, i only feed mine twice a week regardless of size. Might help only feeding him every second day until he starts eating at least, so lessen the interaction for now.

  1. he looks like a tricolour partial pinstripe
