So…. I had no intentions of getting a crested gecko, let alone two. But we found these at petco on sale because they’d been there forever and they hadn’t been able to get any new ones in. The wife fell in love with the one with the tail, and I liked the color of the tailless one. Needless to say, they’re both at home!
I’m pretty sure the tailless one is a boy. It seems pretty unmistakably. And his color ranges from what you see here, to a very deep olive color. What morph is he?
This one, I’m pretty positive is a female. But I’d like second opinions on it as well as ID’s. We don’t plan to breed them, just have as pets. Here’s hers

The little girl is precious as well. Just imho, they both look healthy coming from a big box store! Now they have a safe forever home with you and your wife!
It will be interesting to see what morphs they might be……

Also for anyone else out there, have you used the Dubia arboreal enclosures? I’m curious if I could simply line the bottom with plastic to prevent leakage, as I like having a drainage layer that can hold water.
I can see two potential spots, one of which could just be pattern, and one which could just be phantom spot (or dirt)… I wouldn’t consider it dal spots unless they prove to produce offspring with them, but since they aren’t planning on breeding it doesn’t matter
I love the dark ones too! Don’t even get me started on the new one you just posted, scarecrow, right? That color change is insane. I would’ve snagged him up too!
Regarding the one with a tail, I’ll have to check for dal spots tomorrow, as I’m not sure. Can you tell from my terrible pics if it’s a girl?
