But after this I am really considering that red tail rat snake
If you want a snake that is very active and likes climbing, along with being easy to handle I would not go with any tree boa. They are delicate and can be hurt easily with handling if done wrong. On top of that, they usually hate being handled. They also aren’t the most active, and usually just sit in one spot for most of the day.
I would go with a colubrid like a rat snake, milk snake, or king snake. Corn snakes are also an option and are actually a type of rat snake.
Maybe a garter snake.
Azjohn might of nailed it… garters love basking and climbing. I used to have a colony of 8, there were always noodles to look at. Good luck
As this is posted in the Pythons section, you would think the OP was inquiring about Pythons
I am really open to any kind of snakes that fits my plans.
And now fixed since the thread has been moved ![]()
Orthriophis moellendorf, Lampropeltis nigrita, Lampropeltis campbelli(?)
These are available in Finland at this point. What do u think
And I have to correct that post I made. I thought I was saying that corallus horantulus is NOT the most easiest to handle at first. I have to consider their handle, cause my stepdaughter and husband have to deal with them also. But first ofc I have teach them handle with safety any snake we have.
@stewart_reptiles That hypo tangerine Honduran Milksnake is out of this world beautiful!
