I have this male florida/brooks king snake I bought from imperial reptiles almost a year ago. He was sold to me as mosaic, what im seeing suddenly his color is dissapating and fading out. Im curious to see if hes a Hypo mosaic or something else. I have seen color changes through out aging in smaller snakes but never this dramatic! Before photo and after photo are below. First photo with chair in background is today second photo after that is about a month after i got him.

I don’t know king snake morphs very well, but I do know that a lot of them go through a pretty significant color change as they age. Your guy still isn’t full grown, so I’d expect his color isn’t set in stone yet.

I agree hes definitely a special guy to have its rewarding to see this happen. Hes my only king snake in my entire colubrid collection!
