Did my females ovulate?

So long story short, I have a friend of mine watching my collection all three of my females which one of them were x-rayed. The pinstripe female seems to have plenty of eggs in her, so I think my friend missed all the ovulations all three of them just shed around the same time which has to be pre-lay shed. They have all paired 5 to 8 times with different mail since October. All females are healthy my axanthic pinstripe, leopard yellow belly pastel and pinstripe.

I thought they all had their pre-lay shed and they’re all laying on the warm side but yesterday my leopard took a frozen tall small rat which is almost unheard of after ovulation so I’m not sure. Should I be expecting eggs or should I come to terms with that they all may have absorbed which what are the chances that all three of them absorbed I don’t understand any help can be appreciated. I guess I’ll find out within 30 days either way.

This is actually not as uncommon as you think.
One of mine was taking smaller sized meals until she was two weeks away from laying. This year she took 2 meals after ovulating and then went off food just before her prelay
A different girl who I have as a first time breeder ate right up until her pre-lay. It varies from female to female.

As long as they’re comfortable and the signs look good I wouldn’t worry. I’ve never used x-ray or ultrasound for timing and scheduling. I just start pairing at the beginning of the year and see how it goes.

The odds of them ovulating and then reabsorption also will depend on how much stress they feel under. So do be careful about things like vet visits or new enclosures and environments around ovulation times. Typically that Feb to June window
