Direct Messaging allows buyers and sellers to message directly without needing to inquire about a specific animal listing.
For Sellers:
Go to your Seller Profile settings via the main menu or by clicking the “Settings” icon in the new Messenger tabs.
In the “Inquiry Settings” section, check the box labeled “Allow direct messages.”
Save your changes.
Once direct messaging is enabled, a message icon will appear over the seller’s profile photo. This will be visible on their store page, as well as the animal listing pages. Click on the icon and type your message into the pop-up menu that appears.
Happy to see it! Still waiting for a lot of sellers to opt in.
I’m assuming this is going to be the only way we can message sellers about animals up for auction? Would still love an “inquire” button or something on the auction page. Yay for progress!

I personally set my account to allow it when this was announced. But it’s not been announced as a popup on the sales side yet so most sellers aren’t aware yet.
They might be doing a smaller rollout to see how it works with the few that read the forums first? Or maybe the sales page mods just haven’t gotten to the announcement yet.
